Item Upgrading: It's Not As Difficult As You Think

Upgrades increase the value of certain numeric stats on armor, weapons and rings. They also boost extra bonuses like damage from PvE and crit chance.
If the template for upgrading a weapon ends in %, it will increase 3% of its previous damage for each time it is upgraded.
Item upgrading costs crests and the item's current level. The cost increases as the item's level increases.
Components
Upgrade components are items that can be put into armor, weapons, and trinkets to provide an extra stat boost or effect when they're used. They can be obtained through making crafts, buying from vendors or trading with other players, or looting. Some upgrades also have special cosmetic effects.
Upgrade components can be inserted into equipment that has a slot to accommodate them. The item must be at a minimum upgraded to blue level to allow a component to be inserted. Upgrade components, unlike other modifications, can only be applied only once. They cannot be replaced or applied several times. Infusions and enrichments are a type of upgrade component that can be used to upgrade non-amulet legendary and ascended equipment, as well in some items that aren't ascended. Infusions and enrichments can be obtained by salvaging equipment that is ascended or completing a quest in the Prophecies, Factions, and Nightfall campaigns.
An upgrade could include a suffix or prefix changing the name of the equipment with which it is used (for example 'Canthan Armor Insignia' becomes Canthan Armor of Minor Vigor). Certain upgrades boost the Mark Level or Rarity of an item, allowing players create stronger versions with the smallest amount of upgrade crystals than they need to reach the same level with normal methods.
A 'boost' upgrade can change the attack or defence characteristics of the weapon or armor. Once item upgrader has completed the cutscene and defeated Crazed Mechanist the upgrades can be created at the Portative Forging Station. They can be dropped by enemies while upgrading other gear or purchasing them from the cash store for 500 upgrade crystals.
Each upgrade increases the likelihood that a better-quality version of the item will be dropped in the next reset. This gives players a reason to upgrade their gear even when they're not sure how much it can be improved upon a reset.
The process of upgrading an item could be costly, and it is possible that the item will eventually become obsolete or even break in the event that the upgrade is unsuccessful. Upgrade Crystals and assist powder are also destroyed when the upgrade fails. This is reduced by the availability of cash shop items that double or even eliminate the possibility of failure, as well as some upgrades that provide an additional benefit when they are inserted into an item.
Glyphs
Glyphs can be used to upgrade the Paragon Board by placing them in sockets that are specifically designed for. Glyphs increase the power of all nodes in a radius around them, including pre-existing affixes on equipment. Glyphs are upgraded in many ways. We recommend upgrading them as fast as you can to level 15.
In the final game you'll find that the best way to enhance your gear is by placing Glyphs. These are the only upgrade component that can be upgraded up to level 15 and provide significant boosts to your power on the Paragon Board.
Glyphs, which is the only upgrade component that can be removed without restriction and replaced again, are the most common. Only legendary equipment can be salvaged and replaced with the aid of a Black Lion Salvage Kit.
Each Glyph has a particular range of values it can improve a statistic by. The value is shown when you choose the Glyph in your inventory. You can replace it with a Glyph of the same rank or higher rank, which will boost the value of the glyph.
Glyphs can be found in the Black Lion Trading Post as part of a Gem Store bundle or purchase the glyphs with certain tools that allow unlimited use and also during Faction Crypt Raids. The use of the Glyph will boost all the nodes that are connected to it, so you should aim to place your Glyphs near the most important nodes of the Graph to maximize the impact. Druids, for instance, should place their Glyphs close to their primary damage nodes. They might also want to consider placing them near their most critical damage nodes.
Leveling
The system of upgrading items lets players increase the stats of certain items by placing upgraded components inside them. This is also known as "upping". Every upgradeable item is assigned an amount that determines the final stats. Upgraded items are able to be leveled up to a maximum of 385 ilvl. Each level requires a different number of components and the costs for upgrading increase as the item is leveled up.
Certain upgrades require an ingredient to be activated. This ingredient is obtained by completing Upgrade Recipes. These recipes can be bought from NPCs, or on the upgrade tab in a crafting table. Each completed Upgrade Recipe earns several Technology Points. These points can be used to level up the item, and once enough points have been earned, the upgrade will be claimed and its additional bonuses will be added to the item.
When the player improves an item it will be replaced with the new item. The same armor will be upgraded to the form of a weapon or shield when upgraded. The new item will come with a bonus of its own. This could be a disadvantage since the item may become more expensive even if you don't need it.
The upgrades to items can be rerolled, provided that the player has enough reroll tokens in order to do this. The item will be replaced by an entirely new item that has a base of level 1 and totally different bonuses. This can be beneficial however it should not be used frequently as it can waste resources.
Some upgrades can be rerolled many times to increase their value, giving players the ability to alter their gear. An excellent example is Dolphin's Gift, which gives an advantage when a player repeatedly enters and exits water (or does not swim as dolphins). This item can be upgraded many times by increasing the maximum roll every time by 10 increments. This item is very important in PvP. A perfectly rolled version can be worth up to 50x the value of the non-upgraded version.
Requirements
The ability to upgrade items allows players to increase the level of their available gear--armor, weapons and trinkets that are above ilvl 385 by presenting the appropriate currency and items to an NPC that upgrades items. The upgrade of armor set pieces will also boost the defense base of the item, and upgrading weapons will increase the base damage as well as the required strength and dexterity to meet the upgraded equipment's requirements.
Each item can be upgraded up to five times, except for hero gear that can have eight upgrades. Every time you upgrade a piece of equipment, it is at risk of failing. The probability of failure increases as you move beyond the maximum number. Failures can cause the item to revert to its initial state, requiring the player to spend more materials than they would had they stopped upgrading at the highest number of upgrades.
If an item does not upgrade the amount of experience in its growth bar is reset to zero. Additionally the item will lose any bonuses it gained such as crit chance and attack damage, as well as any other effects that are associated with that effect (for example, increased heal over time or reload speed). However, the player can continue to use the weapon or armor after the failure.
When an item is upgraded, the upgrades are applied from lowest to highest. This means that if a weapon gains an increase in crit chance the increase is applied prior to any increase in attack damage. Slots is a new attribute that has been added to the definitions of items. The value is calculated each time an upgrade occurs.
The amount of resources needed to upgrade an item is based on the rarity rating and the number of upgrade slots. The upgrade cost for non-premium items is the same as the base value of the upgrade. For example, a common equipment item may have five upgrades at a cost of 25,600 Technology Points and a 4x Quality Improvement Chance--whereas hero quality items will have an incredibly lower cost for each additional upgrade.
Premium items have different upgrade requirements than standard gear--for instance, they may require fewer sowels but more minerals and erons. Players will still have to take every piece of equipment they wish to upgrade to NPC [ArmorBoboko. Boboko located in Central Flarine. Each upgrade of equipment requires different amounts of ingredients for upgrading, in addition to the cost mentioned above.
